Terms and Conditions
We work with the right partners in a fair way
1. Services
Websites For Artists Ltd provides website design, development, branding, and digital support services for artists, galleries, and creative organisations. This includes, but is not limited to, websites, e-commerce solutions, SEO, marketing, virtual galleries, exhibition photography, and branding projects.
2. Project Scope
Each project is defined in a written proposal or statement of work. Any additional features, revisions, or requests outside the agreed scope will require a new agreement and may incur additional fees. Scope changes must be agreed in writing before work commences.
3. Client Cooperation
You agree to provide all necessary content, feedback, and approvals promptly (normally within 7 days of request). Delays beyond 14 days may result in suspension of work. In the case of extended delays, we reserve the right to charge a holding fee equal to 1% of the total project value per week (or a minimum of £100 per week, whichever is greater) until the project resumes. This ensures fair compensation for time lost and rescheduling.
4. Revisions
The number of revisions included in the project will be set out in your proposal. Additional revision rounds beyond this will incur extra fees, payable before further work is undertaken.
5. Project Fees and Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, our standard payment structure for project-based work is:
-
50% deposit – payable before work begins.
-
25% – payable upon design sign-off.
-
25% – payable upon completion of the build, prior to launch.
We are flexible with payment schedules and may agree alternative terms depending on the size and nature of the project. Our priority is working with the right partners in a fair and transparent way.
6. Third-Party Contractors
-
Any third-party contractors engaged by us (e.g., photographers, developers, designers) remain under our management and protection.
-
Clients may not engage contractors directly without consent.
-
Clients agree to treat all contractors professionally and pay any approved third-party costs.
-
You indemnify us against claims arising from disputes caused by your actions toward contractors.
7. Subscriptions / Memberships
We may offer subscription-based services or membership programs, including access to our network of artists and galleries. Subscription terms, including payment, access, and cancellation, will be provided separately at the time of launch.
8. Intellectual Property
-
You retain copyright to content you provide.
-
We retain copyright to designs, code, and creative work produced, granting you a licence to use it for the project.
9. Cancellation & Refunds
-
Cancellation before work starts allows full refund of any deposit.
-
Once work begins, deposits are non-refundable, and pro-rata charges apply for work completed.
10. Liability
Services are provided “as is.” We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
